FAQ |
Q. Do you price by color?
A. No, digital printing goes directly from desktop to
printer with no setup charges for color screens or separations. It
costs no more to maximize your output by using color when printing
digitally.

Q. What is your maximum size?
A. Most large-format digital machines are roll-fed, so the
image length can vary up to 100'. Our printers can print up to 72”
wide. Pieces can be tiled to achieve larger sizes with virtually
unnoticeable seams. We also have the ability to print directly to
rigid substrates (i.e., foam board, sintra board, etc.), which
saves you money in the long run.

Q. Are there minimum quantity requirements?
A. No. Even a quantity of one is affordable. Digital print
production has made custom, full color posters, vinyl and fabric
banners, trade show graphics, and vehicle graphics cost effective
in low quantities.

Q. What kind of quality do your digital presses output?
A. Our state-of-the-art digital printers can output images
as good as a photograph. We purposely purchased a press that could
hit skin tone type colors, which enables us to do photo
restorations, photo enlargement, etc.

Q. At what resolution should a photo be saved for output?
A. For long distance resolution output, save images at a
minimum of 75 ppi at final size. For standard resolution output,
please save images at a minimum of 150 ppi at 100% final size. For
high resolution output please save images at a minimum of 250 ppi
at 100% final size. If you do not understand any of this please
call us at 800-416-2636.

Q. At what size document should I design to enlarge for a
poster?
A. if your final size is less than 48 inches, design at
100%. If your final size is over 48 inches, design between 25 and
50%. We make this recommendation since many design programs cannot
create pages over 48 inches.

Q. How long does it take for you to complete my order?
A. There really isn't a short answer to this question. Some
jobs can be produced in minutes and some jobs may take days. Let
us know when you need your job completed and we'll let you know if
it can be done. We go to great lengths to meet your most stringent
demands.

Q. What is a "proof"?
A. A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type
accurately and that everything is positioned according to your
requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof, which will be
sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our
store or delivered to you in person.
On multiple color jobs, we can produce a color proof on our color
output device to show how the different colors will appear.

Q. What type of paper or rigid substrate should I use?
A. We stock a wide variety of papers and boards, and can
order thousands of different materials for next day delivery.
Speak with a customer service representative to help you select
the right material for your job.

Q. Can you match my color exactly?
A. We work hard to match your color. The digital printing
process is designed for CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black)
inks. Some Pantone colors are often difficult to match in a CMYK
environment. However, there is always a color that is extremely
close to your PMS color.

Q. What is your turn-around time?
A. Our standard turn-around time is 2 days for a proof and
5-7 days for production.
<<Back
Q. What if I need the job sooner?
A. We are able to arrange expedites to meet your deadline
dates.
<<Back
Q. How does your technology respond to last-minute design
changes or revisions to proofs?
A. No problem. Going direct from desktop to printer makes
editing hassle-free.

Q. What size files can we e-mail?
A. If you have a relatively small file that you think can
be e-mailed (4MB or less), you can compress it using a utility
such as StuffIt, PCZip, or other compression software and email it
to us.
Luckily, we have made file transfer even easier than e-mail.
Simply click on “upload files” on our menu bar, browse your
computer for the file you want to send, and click upload. Presto!
We have your file and are ready to print.
